About Listings

The Visit Bonaire app aims to provide visitors with a comprehensive guide to the island. Businesses are included based on publicly available information — such as maps, online directories, and local recommendations from our team. Our goal is to help tourists discover what Bonaire has to offer, which naturally includes local businesses.

Yes. The basic listing in the Visit Bonaire app is currently free of charge. We do not contact businesses for payment or require any form of subscription to be listed. If you receive a message claiming otherwise, please contact us directly — it may be fraudulent.

Listings typically include the business name, category, location, and a brief description sourced from public information. We do not include private contact details, personal data, or proprietary business information without your knowledge. If something is inaccurate or you'd like more or less information shown, you can request changes at any time.

We use publicly available sources such as Google Maps, tourism websites, local directories, and recommendations from people who know the island well. We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but we rely on businesses to notify us of changes — so please get in touch if anything needs updating.

Changes & Removal

Send an email to info@visit-bonaire.com with your business name, the changes you'd like made, and any relevant details. We review all requests carefully and process updates as quickly as possible. There is no cost for requesting changes.

Yes. You have the right to request removal at any time. Send us an email at info@visit-bonaire.com with your business name and removal request, and we will process it promptly. We respect your preference and will not re-add your business without your consent.

We aim to process all change and removal requests within 5 to 10 business days. In most cases it's faster. You will receive an email confirmation once the change has been made. If you don't hear back within 10 working days, please follow up.

Promotion & Visibility

Not yet — but we are planning to introduce paid promotional options in the future. These will allow businesses to increase their visibility in the app, appear in featured sections, and reach more visitors. If you'd like to be notified when these options become available, email us at info@visit-bonaire.com.

Currently, the basic listing format is standardised. We are working on enhanced listing options that will allow businesses to add additional media, descriptions, and links. Email us to express your interest and we'll keep you updated as these features become available.

The Visit Bonaire app is actively promoted to tourists via our website, social media (Instagram, Facebook), and app store listings. Hundreds of visitors to Bonaire use the app to plan and navigate their island experience. As the app grows, so does the visibility of every listing in it.
