The Visit Bonaire app is a digital travel guide intended to help visitors discover and navigate Bonaire. It provides information about dive sites, hiking routes, attractions, restaurants, and other points of interest. The app is a guide — not a professional navigation system, a dive computer, or a certified safety device.
2. Assumption of Risk
By using the Visit Bonaire app to plan or engage in any physical activity on Bonaire — including but not limited to diving, snorkelling, hiking, jeep tours, kitesurfing, kayaking, or any other outdoor activity — you acknowledge and accept that:
- All physical activities carry inherent risks, including the risk of injury, illness, or death
- You are responsible for assessing your own fitness, experience, and capability before undertaking any activity
- Environmental conditions on Bonaire — including sea conditions, weather, currents, and terrain — can change rapidly and unpredictably
- You participate in any activity shown or described in the app at your own risk
3. No Warranty for Route Guidance or GPS Accuracy
The app provides route suggestions, GPS-based navigation, and location information to assist your exploration. However:
- GPS accuracy depends on your device, environmental conditions, and satellite coverage
- Routes and navigation guidance in the app may not reflect current real-world conditions
- The app does not guarantee that any route, path, or dive site shown is safe, accessible, or appropriate for your level of experience
- Always cross-reference app information with on-the-ground conditions, local advice, and official sources
4. Diving and Water Activities
Bonaire is world-renowned for its diving, and the app includes information about dive sites. Please note:
- Dive site information is provided for general reference only — conditions at any site may vary significantly from what is described
- Always dive within your certification level and personal limits
- Bonaire Marine Park rules apply to all dive sites — follow all regulations and guidelines
- The app is not a substitute for dive briefings, local dive guides, or certified instruction
- In an emergency, contact the relevant emergency services immediately — do not rely solely on the app
5. Limitation of Liability
Blue Innovation B.V. expressly disclaims all liability for any injury, loss, damage, or death resulting from:
- Use of or reliance on navigation, route, or location information in the app
- Participation in any activity described or referenced in the app
- GPS inaccuracies or navigation errors
- Changes in environmental conditions not reflected in the app
- Any failure of your device, connection, or the app itself during an activity
By using the app, you agree to release Blue Innovation B.V. from all claims arising from activities undertaken based on information in the app, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
